PWN Dublin: Engaging Men Programme Launch 2025 - Redefining Masculinity for the Modern Age

Published on March 14, 2025 by Fiona Flynn

Behaviours matter …. Behaviours can support an individual to thrive or survive in an organisation. When an individual thrives and feels included, the team and organisation also benefits.

Simple yet important behaviours make a difference. I hear this in every female talent acceleration programme and coaching session that I am involved in.

✅  Creating a safe space
✅  Encouraging feedback
✅  Active Listing
✅  Welcome diverse thoughts and opinions
✅ Challenging behaviours
✅ Ensure all voices are heard
✅ Providing support to stretch into new areas, projects, roles
✅ Recognise talents and provide feedback
✅ And many more……

At PWN Dublin, we are focused on creating Gender Balanced leadership and supporting talent to thrive. This year already, (and it’s only March) we have launched a group mentoring programme for over 60 participants.

On Wed 12th March we launched our Engaging Men as Allies programme. Sponsored by Mercer Ireland and led by Robert Baker, a recognised global expert in allyship and inclusive leadership.

We were happy to see so many people, dedicated to making positive changes, nurturing equality and diversity, and engaging men to be an integral part of this process.

John Mercer, Maria Marta Perez Lippi, Dr Jonathan Murphy, Maeve O'Malley and Robert Baker played major roles in making this event such a positive experience, and we would like to extend our thanks to Gillian Walsh, Joanna O'Riordan, Fiona Doherty and Carol Leonard in the Mercer team, for your generous support.

The feedback from the event has been heartening, and we expect great impact from this programme.

This programme is open to all men who wish to build their knowledge and awareness of key behaviours that enable effective allyship and talent to thrive. It offers an opportunity to discuss, debate, listen and understand in a safe space.

Following the all-genders launch event, we now enter into the workshop element of the programme, which comprises two male-only workshops.

You can find out more about the dates and locations for the sessions here.

Following the workshops, everyone will be invited to the close event that will take place on the evening of 14th May 2025. The closing event will be the opportunity to witness and learn from the outputs of the programme.

This is the inaugural edition of the PWN Dublin Engaging Men programme, and much like our sister PWN networks around the world, that have launched similar programmes, we intend for this to become a regular programme in our annual calendar of activities.

Once again, thank you to our long-standing Corporate Partner, Mercer, who has been instrumental in helping PWN Dublin to get this Programme off the ground.

If you or your organisation is interested in finding out more about supporting PWN Dublin in its events, programmes, or operations, please do get in touch. You’ll be helping support much-needed change.
