Veerle Berx
Veerle Berx is a senior executive and strategic leader with over 20 years of experience transforming complex organisations across public, non-profit, and private sectors. Holding a PhD in Criminology and an Executive MBA from Vlerick Business School, she has led large-scale teams, driven digital transformation, and navigated high-stakes environments from the Belgian Railways to the Brussels city government — always with one conviction at the core: that strong organisations are built on people, clarity, and the courage to act.
As an advocate for female leadership, Veerle brings both the track record and the lived experience of leading in rooms where presence, authority, and resilience matter. Outside her professional life, she trains in boxing and power lifting — not as a counterpoint to her professional life, but as an extension of it. Discipline, focus, and the ability to take a hit and keep moving are values she carries equally into the ring and into any organisation she leads.
In her role at PWI, Veerle will help us strengthen our voice in public affairs and further develop our Engaging Men Program, building bridges and encouraging meaningful dialogue around inclusive leadership and allyship.
