Bernard Lim is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), as well as a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
He began his career with a Big Four accounting firm before moving into the finance division of a local financial institution, where he was responsible for statutory reporting and budgeting. He later joined a property and construction group in the mid-1990s, gaining extensive operational and financial expertise across both development and construction segments.
Over the years, Bernard assumed progressively senior leadership roles and was appointed Finance Director of the group. Leveraging his deep financial and industry knowledge, he led the company’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) process and served as a key representative in the Due Diligence Working Group (DDWG). Following the successful listing, he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director .
In 2018, Bernard founded BQIE Ventures Sdn Bhd, a boutique advisory firm specialising in business strategy, IPO advisory, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital raising. He has advised companies across multiple sectors including construction, oil & gas, food & beverage, aviation, manufacturing, and consumer products. Several of his clients have successfully listed on stock exchanges in Malaysia and Hong Kong, while others are in various stages of their IPO journey.
In addition to his corporate advisory work, Bernard is a practitioner of Chinese Metaphysics, including Feng Shui, BaZi, and Qi Men Dun Jia, having studied under established masters. He conducts private consultations, integrating strategic corporate insight with classical metaphysical frameworks to offer clients a distinctive and structured decision-making perspective.
