PWN City Networks making magic, together at PWN Milan's International Women on Boards Network Summit

At the end of 2024, a truly alchemical PWN moment happened! After the tireless collaboration of PWN Milan, PWN Romania and PWN Global, The PWN Milan International Women on Boards Network Summit came to life - and what a fantastic event it was! 

Set in the beautiful Palazzo Bocconi, the Summit brought together 70 participants, including PWN Milan, PWN Romania, and PWN Global members, distinguished Speakers, and our Strategic Partners: LeadWomen, The Women on Boards Network Kenya, W Executive, and AIDAF - Associazione Italiana delle Aziende Familiari. 

The day featured engaging panel discussions on critical topics like Women on Boards: Actions to Foster Presence & Lessons Learned; Fintech & Innovation; Leadership & Resilience; and, Sustainability.

Later, the focus shifted to Progress in STEM, exploring how Science and Innovation can improve living conditions and create a more equitable future. 

Our talented Moderators Chiara Pietrarota, EMBA, CIIA, Ottavio Maria Campigli, Valentina Fermanelli, and Vanina Stagno Piantanida expertly guided the discussions and ensured a dynamic, enriching experience.

Our Delegates' diverse perspectives enriched the conversation. Together, they sparked a meaningful dialogue on key issues shaping the Women on Boards landscape. 

Our outstanding Speakers: Alessia Mosca, Gini Dupasquier, Violeta Ciurel, Ph.D, Veronica Buzzi, Anne Abraham, Catherine Musakali, Elena Lavezzi, Roberta Profeta, Claudia Segre, Fiammetta Mataloni, Antonella Pagano, Oscar Di Montigny, Maria Antonietta Perino, Elena Lanati, and Giulia Rossi—sparked lively debates and fresh insights that attendees will carry forward in their work and lives.

Oscar Di Montigny made a significant contribution to the Summit by sharing his transformative concept of Humanovability. In his talk, he explored the idea that true leadership in today’s world requires more than just technical expertise; it demands the ability to adapt, empathize, and connect with others on a deeper level. 

The day culminated in an inspiring speech by Giulia Rossi, whose words captured the essence of the Summit, reflecting on progress made while urging continued action for the future.

We’d also like to extend our deepest gratitude to W Executive, whose invaluable support was key in making this event a milestone in our shared mission to increase Women’s representation in the Boardroom.

As we celebrate the success of this Summit, we're already looking ahead to the 2025 PWN Milan IWOB Programme. The lessons from today will help shape IWOB's future, and we are excited to continue this important work.
