 Dear PWN Nice Member and Supporter,

A new, fresh, unused year awaits us; what it will bring is always exciting.

Everybody at PWN Nice works pro bono and does it for various personal reasons, but we all share that we want to help women reach their personal and professional goals.  

Inspiring and lifting each other is at the core of what we do.  

We do that through our events, online webinars, mentoring programs, summer and winter parties and many more. Through PWN Nice we have all met wonderful women who have inspired us and helped us and some have become good friends. 

A big thank you to all our fantastic dedicated board members, volunteers and partners for all you have done and do for PWN Nice Côte d'Azur.

Empowering insights and some words from our VP Partnerships, Lala Laprun!

Greetings PWN Nice Community,

I am delighted to share some highlights from our recent endeavors as your Vice President of Partnerships. Over the last quarter of 2023, we have been dedicated to fortifying our alliances, particularly with EDHEC and AMADEUS.

Our collaboration with AMADEUS has been centered around the incredible mentoring program spearheaded by Jacqui Syndercombe. Furthermore, we have an exciting event planned for the first quarter of 2024, focusing on the empowering theme of "Girls in Tech."

In a warm welcome, we are pleased to introduce sixteen EDHEC Ambassadors. They will play pivotal roles in addressing strategic issues, such as crafting a comprehensive 5-year plan and developing an engaging Social Media editorial map to amplify our association's presence. In our commitment to fostering gender equality, we are proud to involve men in our initiatives and aim to explore and expand on this crucial subject.

We invite each of you to contribute as a member or supporter of PWN Nice Côte d'Azur. PWN NICE ROUND TABLE LUNCH - IF SOMEONE LOOKED AT YOUR LINKEDIN PROFILE, WHAT WOULD OTHERS SEE?

Developing a personal brand fosters a higher level of trust and authenticity. People connect with individuals first. Your personal brand allows for the development of deeper, more personal relationships with clients or customers, which is vital for both individuals and corporations. 

Our speaker, Jeanette Cefre was born in Guam and moved to the United States (Florida) at the age of 10.  Her career in the travel industry started at the age of 18 starting with the airlines, cruise lines and finally travel technology.   A professional growth opportunity was the reason she and her family moved to the Cote d'Azur 16 years ago.

Mentoring 

2023 MENTORING PROGRAMME

As we bid farewell to 2023, we celebrated the successful culmination of our Mentoring Programme with a virtual event on December 14th. This gathering allowed us to reflect on our accomplishments and identify areas for improvement as we look to the future. A heartfelt thank you to all the dedicated mentors of 2023 for volunteering their time and energy, and enriching the lives of our remarkable members. Congratulations to our mentees for their commitment to personal and professional development.

2024  MENTORING PROGRAMME: SAVE THE DATE

Looking ahead, we are excited to share the latest developments in the 2024 Mentoring Programme. Currently, 20 incredible ladies have enrolled, and as of December's end, 85% of them have found their ideal mentors. The official launch of this year's program will feature a blend of in-person and virtual events. Participants, please mark your calendars for the following upcoming events:

• January 9: Mentor Dinner
• January 17 & 18: Virtual and in-person kick-offs for Mentors and Mentees
• March 21: Mentor Dinner
• May 30: In-person Mid-Year Meetup (Venue to be announced)
• September 26: Mentor Dinner
• October 31: 2025 Mentor/Mentee Meetup
• December 5: Virtual Year-End Wrap-Up for Mentors and Mentees
