Join the PWN Nice Board: Hiring New Board Members!
Exciting news: we’re on the lookout for fresh faces to join our Board, and we think you might be the perfect fit! Right now, we’re seeking individuals for three key roles: Treasurer, VP of Events, and VP of Business Development.
Here’s a little sneak peek into what each role entails:
- As Treasurer, you’ll play a crucial role in our organisation. Diana, our current Treasurer, has relocated to Italy and is passing the torch. Could you be the one to step into her shoes?
- If you’re eyeing the VP of Events position, get ready to become the heartbeat of our operations. You’ll have the power to shape our events, from planning to execution, blending your knack for organisation with a splash of creativity.
- And introducing our newest role: VP of Business Development. In this dynamic position, you’ll be teaming up with Lala, our VP Partnerships, to grow and nurture our network. It’s all about forging new connections and fostering existing ones.

What happened this month?
PWN NICE STRATEGY MEETING
The Board had an in-person meeting earlier this month to discuss their strategic outlook for 2024–2025. The conversation focused on:
- The rebranding of PWN Nice to a new identity that better represents the strong community we have on the French Riviera.
- PWN Nice will transition to a new digital platform in 2024 that will be more user-friendly for our members to find information and for our team of volunteers to drive initiatives across our community. Stay tuned!
- Our corporate partners are key in helping us with our mission of creating a space where leaders thrive, irrespective of gender. We are thankful to our existing partners and will devote additional resources to seeking new ones in 2024–2025.
We, the Board, would like to thank everyone for their continued support and we are grateful for this wonderful community of professional women, both locally and across the PWN city network.
PARTNERING WITH EDHEC GLOBAL MBA PROGRAM - INCLUSIVE MINDFULNESS
Partnering with EDHEC Global MBA Programme - inclusive mindfulness
PWN Nice Côte d’Azur recently held our 2024 yearly meeting with EDHEC.
This year, the "Diversity and Social Impact Club" selected an inclusive mindfulness theme for our two events: A podcast and a panel discussion.

A co-hosted podcast on inclusive mindfulness featuring special guests Lisa Nezam and Robert Baker.

The Panel Discussion
We were approximately 20 people engaged in a stimulating conversation. A special thank you to Sandra Richez for her warm hospitality and to the students for organising and moderating the event: Ayushi, Nithya, Wriddhi, Jessie, and Arinze.
The first panel, led by Lena Beck Roervig and Jacqui Syndercombe from PWN, focused on inclusive hiring, sparking discussions on quotas, the future of work, and resumé-free job applications. Jacqui shared her journey as a young businesswoman in South Africa and restarting in France, emphasising the importance of inclusive onboarding.
In the second panel, Carmina Catena and Andrew Prior explored the concept of social washing. Andrew shared Budweiser's marketing experience that led to social washing, while Carmina Catena shared her insights as a company founder on values, effective communication, and internal learning to prevent social washing.
EDHEC Partnership
Last but not least, before all the MBA students fly away at the end of this semester, we had an annual partnership meeting.
Together, we create strong networking opportunities that aim to empower women to become true role models. This collaboration offers valuable learning experiences and insights into new subjects and trends.
EDHEC and PWN Nice Côte d'Azur are delighted to extend this partnership next year.

1. WOMEN THRIVING IN AN AI ENVIRONMENT | PRIVATE DINNER | VALLAURIS | 25TH MAY
If you’ve been following our social media feed, you would have seen our announcement for our next event, Women Thriving in an AI Environment: Opportunities and Challenges.
We will have four distinguished speakers for the evening:
- Ann Winblad : Founding Partner, Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, Enterprise Software Pioneer and Venture Capitalist
- Diane Bouzebiba: Senior Vice President of Strategy Execution and Integration Services at Amadeus IT Group.
- Olena Kushakovska: President of SAP Labs France.
- Sarette van den Heever: Director of AI and Custom Engineering EMEA at Google.
These accomplished women will share their insights and experiences, sparking meaningful discussions on the topic. A buffet dinner will follow the talk and give our guests ample opportunity to connect and build relationships.
