In this month's newsletter, we're excited to share with you the updates from PWN Nice Côte

d'Azur, a look back at recent events and a glimpse into what's coming up in October 2024.

What’s been happening?

SEPTEMBER 2024 STRATEGY MEETING

The PWN Nice CDA team held an in-person strategy meeting at the beautiful Hotel L’Oasis in Nice. These strategy meetings are a great opportunity to exchange ideas and support every Board member’s initiatives. We discussed:

• This year’s mentoring program, its roll out for 2024/2025 and the recruitment of both mentors and mentees.
• The functionalities of the new PWN digital platform. Its implementation has been spearheaded locally by Carmen Redondo our VP Technology. We will soon have a brand new website with added functionalities for members to create more opportunities to connect, grow and learn - locally and internationally.
• How to communicate effectively to our existing members and to widen the reach of PWN’s mission across the French Riviera.
• New partnership initiatives with great ideas from Lala Laprun and Nathalie Taylor our new VP of Business Development. If you think your company would be a good partner.

MENTOR DINER - SEPTEMBER 2024

Jacqui our VP Mentoring worked with Hania (VP Events) to organise this year’s mentor dinner which was held at the Club Nautique.

MEET & GREET - SEPTEMBER 2024

Thank you to everyone that made it to our September 2024 Meet and Greet that took place in Sophia Antipolis. Corinne our VP of Memberships was on hand to introduce PWN and our community to new faces.

WORKSHOP | HEALTHY PATISSERIE WORKSHOP | 12TH OCTOBER

Join us for a unique Tea & Pastry Workshop on October 12th!

Looking for a creative and relaxing break?

PWN Nice invites you to a three-hour workshop to learn how to make gluten-free pastries and enjoy herbal teas. The talented Angela Ianniciello and Maeva Bac are in charge of this experience, which combines culinary skill and botanical knowledge for a truly unique afternoon.

Maeva Bac  has recently launched her sea salts and aromatic plants business and Angela Ianniciello , in parallel to a brillant professional career, is also passionate about patisserie.

We’re excited about this new collaborative and hands-on format.

ROUND TABLE LUNCH | IDENTIFYING YOUR BARRIERS THAT BLOCK YOUR FULL POTENTIAL | 18TH OCTOBER

A hard question for women to answer is:  What do you want in life?   When did you last take time out to really evaluate your life? For busy professional women that is a luxury we hardly ever give ourselves.   In this Lunch and Learn you will be using a tool to learn about YOU by assessing your life; by evaluating where you are at now in your life. AMADEUS EVENT | NAVIGATING CAREER TRANSITIONS | 7TH NOVEMBER

AMADEUS - PWN NICE COTE D’AZUR JOINT EVENT

Mark your calendars for November 7th, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM!

Amadeus and PWN have a long-standing partnership, and this year, the event will be part of Amadeus Global Career Week.

The goal is to motivate everyone to advance their careers. On Thursday, the theme is ‘Connect,’ emphasizing the significance of networking and relationship-building.

This event will take place, as always, at the stunning Amadeus facility in Sophia Antipolis and is exclusive to MEMBERS ONLY for security reasons. Please note that registration will close on November 5th.

We will explore topics such as risk-taking, standing by your choices, building confidence, preparing for significant changes, and achieving work-life balance, featuring incredible speakers.

ROUND TABLE LUNCH | HOW TO BREAK THE GLASS CEILING | 15TH NOVEMBER

Join us for an insightful lunch roundtable on "Break the Glass Ceiling of Impact and Influence to Move to the Next Level," led by Isabelle Proust.

 PWN Member Isabelle Proust brings over 20 years of executive experience, as a CFO, CEO and entrepreneur. Now an executive coach, Isabelle helps senior leaders and experienced managers strengthen their mental skills and assertiveness to reach their next level. She is passionate about empowering leaders to unlock their full potential and thrive in high-stakes environments. Isabelle is also a published author "Pour réussir, musclez votre état d'esprit" and a regular columnist for Harvard Business Review France. She is also the founder of the i² Method to boost Impact & Influence.

During this lunch we'll tackle the critical barrier holding many women back: lack of influence.In many environments, it is the number one obstacle preventing women from being promoted. 2025 Individual Mentorship Program Update

We believe everyone needs a Mentor.

This is why we will soon be launching the 2025 PWN French Riviera Mentoring Program which ensures that professionals gain access to the best support for their personal and professional development.

Save the date: 12 November from 18h30-21h00. The venue will be confirmed soon.

To find out who is on the panel and for all the information regarding the programme, please go our website where you will find each of their bios. This will give you an idea of specific people who have the skills and experience which could help you develop both professionally and personally. On 12 November you will get a chance to chat to them to see if they are a good fit.

Programme Timeline: 2024 – Preparation and selection of candidates

• 12 November: Informal drinks event where mentees can meet mentors
• 13 November: Applications open
• 2 December: Applications close

Throughout December: candidate selection and matching with mentors

• 20 December: candidates informed of their matches

2025 – Confirmation of matches and programme

• 2-14 Jan: Candidates hold chemistry meetings to confirm their partnership
• 15 January: Start of programme
• End Oct: End of programme
