Too many among us today still forget ourselves, unaware of our worth, programmed to serve, carrying on the transgenerational family heritage; So how about we extract ourselves from our daily whirlpool routines and join this discussion around what it takes for us to realize what we need to ‘be more content’ and what we truly want out of life? As we struggle alone, unaware of our potential, we forget to ask for help and prevent others to contribute, support and value us. Coralie Roederer Stevanazzi is a Transformation Director, negotiator, fixer, shaper, shaker with a high EI.
She made a radical life change in 2022 to start her own business leading two very different activities; one as an Independent consultant, to advise and enable leaders and their companies to successfully undergo major changes, strategic growth and/or transformation, the other as a past life regression therapist, energy worker & Reiki master.
She offers to share her experience of what it took for her to finally reconnect with her true ‘essential self’ and her advice on why we should avoid wasting what is most precious to all: time.
Coralie, who feels she lost too many years questioning herself, truly believes we deserve to make the most of what we have today. It all starts with asking ourselves simple basic questions...We look forward to meeting you!

Mentoring Programmes
2024 MENTORING FLAGSHIP PROGRAMME
PWN runs a mentoring programme to support members to achieve their objectives, whether they are personal/professional development, corporate intrapreneurship projects, or entrepreneurial projects. Our individual mentoring programme is open to all Premium members and runs from January to November of each year. Planning for the 2024 programme will begin with an informal event on 9 November where potential participants will be able to meet and exchange with the mentors.
It is important, as in companies and organisations, that you be inspired by your mentor and you select them according to the skills and experience they offer to help you achieve your objectives. Mentor profiles are now published on the PWN website so that you have time to read up on the different mentors who are giving their time to empower women to become their best selves. Places on the programme are limited and we will be asking applicants to motivate why they would like to participate. Applications for 2024 will start at the event and will close at the end of November. If you would like to apply for this flagship programme, please look out for further communication and confirmation of the dates in our newsletters and on our website. To attend the event on 9 November, please register here.
Claudia Goldin and the nobel prize in economics
Claudia Goldin was awarded with the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2023 for her work on women’s income and employment in the labor market. She is the first woman to receive the prize alone, and the third woman to receive it in history.
Goldin’s research spans over 200 years of data on the US workforce, showing how and why gender differences in earnings and employment rates changed over time. She identified the main factors that influenced women’s participation in the labor market, such as education, contraception, technology, and social norms. She also analyzed the causes and consequences of the gender pay gap, and how it can be reduced by increasing flexibility and equality in the workplace.
Goldin’s discoveries have vast societal implications, as they provide a foundation for policymakers and employers to design policies and practices that promote gender equality and economic efficiency. Her work also inspires other researchers and students to study the role of women in the economy and society.
Main conclusions of Claudia Goldin’s research:
- Goldin showed that women’s labor force participation did not increase steadily with economic growth, but rather followed a U-shaped curve over the past 200 years. She explained this pattern by the effects of structural change, technological innovation, and social norms on women’s work opportunities and choices1.
- Goldin demonstrated that women’s education levels rose dramatically in the twentieth century, partly due to the availability of the contraceptive pill, which allowed women to plan their careers and families more effectively2.
- Goldin revealed that the gender pay gap did not close much for a long time, despite women’s increasing education and employment rates. She argued that this was because women’s career decisions were influenced by the expectations and experiences of previous generations, who faced more barriers and discrimination in the labor market2.
- Goldin identified the main source of the remaining gender pay gap as the difference in earnings between men and women in the same occupation, especially after they have children. She called this the “family gap” and attributed it to the lack of flexibility and equality in the workplace, which penalizes women who need to balance work and family responsibilities2.
- Goldin suggested that the gender pay gap can be reduced by creating more flexible and family-friendly work arrangements, such as part-time work, telecommuting, job sharing, and paid parental leave. She also advocated for more equal sharing of household and childcare duties between men and women2.
Goldin’s research is different from what we knew before because she used historical data and methods to uncover the long-term trends and causes of women’s labor market outcomes. She also combined economic theory and empirical analysis to explain how various factors interacted to shape women’s choices and opportunities over time. She also provided policy implications and recommendations based on her findings.
