LIA is the Centre of Excellence for the Education and Development of Finance Professionals, dedicated to enabling and promoting the highest quality standards in financial advisory practice. We work on our members' behalf to provide continual education and forward-looking support, combining member-focused personal development with education programmes to deliver qualifications and accreditation across a range of courses.
Professional growth through education and CPD
Supporting members' professional growth is at the heart of everything we do. LIA offers programmes from Level 7 to Level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), alongside a wide range of on-demand short courses, seminars and CPD events. Whether you're working towards Minimum Competency Code (MCC) requirements, pursuing a globally recognised designation, or building on years of experience, we're here to support you at every stage of your career.
Championing financial literacy
Beyond our core education programmes, LIA is committed to improving financial literacy across Irish society. Our Smart Money Habits programme, developed in partnership with Rugby Players Ireland and since extended to the Sport Ireland Institute and the Gaelic Players Association, helps elite athletes build the skills to manage their earnings, pensions and investments throughout their careers.
We also partner with Childhood Cancer Ireland through our Gold Ribbon Volunteering Programme, connecting LIA members holding QFA or CFP® designations with families facing a childhood cancer diagnosis. Volunteers provide free financial planning advice and support, helping ease the financial burden on families during and after treatment.
