PWN Dublin: Vice President (VP) Events

Purpose of the Role

The VP of Events plays a vital leadership role in shaping the member experience through a engaging and strategically aligned events calendar. You will design and deliver high-impact in-person, virtual, and hybrid events that inspire, connect, and empower women to thrive. This is an opportunity to bring creativity, energy, and vision to a mission-driven network that is focused on accelerating gender-balanced leadership.

What you'll do

  • Develop and lead the annual events strategy in line with PWN Dublin’s mission and priorities
  • Plan, promote, and deliver a diverse portfolio of events including networking sessions, speaker panels, workshops, and flagship experiences
  • Collaborate with the VP Programmes, VP Membership, and VP Marketing to drive engagement and visibility
  • Secure and manage venues, speakers, sponsors, and other key partnerships
  • Oversee the events budget and ensure effective use of resources
  • Lead a working group of volunteers to deliver exceptional event experiences
  • Evaluate event performance using member feedback and metrics to drive continuous improvement

  • Organisational skills: You’re able to coordinate multiple moving parts, from timelines and budgets to logistics and people, with calm efficiency. 
  • Attention to detail: You spot what others might miss, ensuring all aspects of event planning are precise, professional, and well executed. 
  • Interpersonal skills: You build relationships and engage confidently with a wide range of individuals, from volunteers to external partners. 
  • Problem-solving skills: You anticipate challenges and implement practical, creative solutions to keep things running smoothly and delivering great experiences.

Recruitment Process

  3. Meet the Co-President(s): If both sides are aligned, you’ll be invited to meet one or both Co-Presidents for a strategic alignment conversation, to ensure shared vision and support.
