We’re proud to share that PWN Dublin has been featured in the latest Balance for Better Business Annual Report 2025.

For anyone unfamiliar, Balance for Better Business is a government-established, business-led initiative launched to champion more gender-balanced leadership across Ireland. It tracks the representation of women on corporate boards and senior leadership teams, promotes transparent reporting, and supports organisations to meet progressive targets for balance and inclusion.

We were included for our Engaging Men as Allies programme, an initiative built on the belief that progress accelerates when men are actively involved in the conversation and given the tools, space, and accountability to show up as allies in the workplace.

What the latest report shows

There’s undeniable progress at board level, with ISEQ20 companies now reaching 42% women on boards, the highest recorded so far. Listed companies overall are close behind at 39%.

The gap widens in the private and multinational sector. 26.4% of private company boards include women, an upward shift, but still short of the 2028 ambition. And while more leadership teams now include three or more women, all-male leadership teams remain stubbornly present, especially at senior operational level.

What this means for PWN Dublin, and our community

Being part of this report places our network inside a national marker of progress in leadership equity. It reflects the value of long-term, community-based leadership development, mentoring, and allyship, led by volunteers, designed for real workplaces and real people.

Where we go from here

The data tells us momentum must continue, especially beyond the boardroom, into leadership behaviours, hiring norms and succession pipelines. That is where we’ll keep showing up, focusing on action, structure and real impact.
