Inspirational Stories: Pradipta Jha – Learning to Flap Her Wings
“Small, intentional actions can create lasting impact.”
Pradipta grew up in Delhi, India, as an only child in a home where ideas, conversations and current affairs were part of everyday life. With both parents working as journalists, she was surrounded by stories, news and thoughtful debate from a young age. That environment shaped her curiosity and encouraged her to think independently.
Academically driven from early on, Pradipta was an All-India topper in Economics, an achievement that gave her the confidence to pursue the subject further. She went on to complete a BA (Honours) in Economics from Delhi University, one of India’s most prestigious universities, where she developed strong analytical thinking and a deeper understanding of how ideas influence people and systems.
At just 20 years old, she took a leap of faith and moved to Ireland to pursue her master’s degree. She completed her MSc in Management at UCD Smurfit Business School, an experience that broadened her worldview, strengthened her resilience and deepened her independence. Today, Pradipta works at VHI, where her role sits at the intersection of communications and change. She supports transformation initiatives by translating complex change into clear, people-focused communication. Collaboration is central to her work. She enjoys bringing people together, aligning perspectives and enabling meaningful outcomes through shared effort.
Pradipta believes strongly in the butterfly effect: small, intentional actions can create lasting impact. This belief led her to join PWN Dublin. For her, PWN is a space to learn, experiment and gently “flap her wings,” taking on new challenges, building connections and growing within a supportive community.
“PWN is a space to learn, experiment and gently flap my wings.”
Naturally social and people-oriented, Pradipta thrives in environments built on curiosity, collaboration and kindness. Her journey so far has been shaped by courage, independence and continuous learning. She looks forward to contributing to PWN Dublin as Creative Content Manager and continuing to grow through new opportunities.
