Closing the Gender Pay Gap in Finance

Closing the Gender Pay Gap in Finance What to expect

The session will outline:
 - Research goals,
 - Invite input from stakeholders,
 - Examine emerging challenges and opportunities related to equal pay, pay transparency and evolving national and EU frameworks, including the new Pay Transparency Directive.

As a pathway to impact, the research aims to identify challenges, highlight effective practices, and support the development of practical strategies that organisations can adopt in their work settings. The insights gathered will help inform future policies and also support organisations in complying with transparency obligations.

This engaging webinar will be led by Mariangela D’Acri is a PhD researcher at the School of Law, University of Portsmouth. Her research focuses on equal pay and the gender pay gap, exploring legal frameworks and policy mechanisms aimed at reducing wage disparities. She has strong expertise in EU law and a broader interest in its intersections with labour laws and economic justice. She is also actively involved in the EU-funded RE-WIRING project, which seeks to rewire institutions to prevent and reverse gender inequalities, catalyse change processes, and actively involve diverse stakeholders in the research process.
