PWN Copenhagen: Book Presentation The Master Watching Over - The Strange Comfort of Strongman with Oksana Didyk

Talent GardenDanneskiold-Samsøes Allé 41København

Many women lead today – competently, responsibly, successfully. And yet, many still feel a quiet pressure to lead in ways that do not fully feel like their own.

To be firmer.
More distant.
More “authoritative”.

This evening invites you to pause – and look at where those expectations come from.

About the Evening
This is a book presentation inspired by The Master Watching Over – a research-based exploration of leadership as a symbolic and emotional construct. Rather than offering prescriptions or techniques, the evening creates space to reflect on how leadership ideals are formed, why they remain gendered, and what it costs women to adapt to them in their professional and personal lives.

The Moustache as a Metaphor (you should not miss)
The moustache appears as a symbol of persistent leadership stereotypes – authority coded as masculine, control mistaken for competence, and emotional distance framed as strength. It is intentionally uncomfortable. Not as provocation, but as recognition.

This Evening is for Women who:
  • Lead in different roles and contexts
  • Reflect on power rather than simply reproduce it
  • Enjoy thoughtful, intellectually grounded conversations
  • No prior knowledge is required – only curiosity.

Why Attend:
In addition to PWN’s inspiring and action-oriented events, this evening creates space to slow down and think. Because leadership is not only about how we act, but about the images and expectations we carry with us.

Dress Code:
Evening dress or evening suit – as you wish. This is a conceptual evening. Dress with intention.

We look forward to seeing you at the event, with finger food provided.
