Working Better Together with Others: An interactive workshop with Cynthia Myrnes
Why do we instantly click with some people, while others seem to push all the wrong buttons?
Why does one colleague want to talk everything through while another just wants to make a decision? Why can one person's efficiency feel like impatience, while another person's thoughtfulness feels frustratingly slow?
We often assume that other people see situations, communicate and make decisions in roughly the same way we do. They don't.
Why We Click & Why We Clash is an interactive workshop exploring some of the hidden differences that shape how we connect, communicate and work with other people.
Rather than putting people into boxes, we'll look at patterns that can help explain why certain interactions feel easy and natural β while others require much more effort.
What to expect
π« This is not a lecture. Expect to participate, reflect, discuss and probably recognise yourself β and a few people you know β along the way.
π« Through practical exercises and real-life examples, we'll explore:
- why we naturally connect with some people more easily than others
- how different communication and interaction styles can create misunderstandings
- why behaviour that makes perfect sense to you may be interpreted completely differently by someone else
- how personality, culture, context and our own assumptions influence the way we read other people
- what happens when different styles meet under pressure
- how to recognise your own patterns and adapt without pretending to be someone you're not
- practical ways to reduce unnecessary friction and work better with people who are different from you
You'll leave with a new lens for understanding your own behaviour and the behaviour of others β and practical ideas you can use in conversations, relationships and teams.
Just bring yourself, your curiosity and a willingness to look at human behaviour from a slightly different perspective.
Come ready to discover not only why we click and why we clash β but what we can do about it.
