Role Description 

The VP Membership (Oslo) is a co-leadership position responsible for building and nurturing our vibrant member community. As the key driver for attracting new members and ensuring the satisfaction and retention of existing ones, the VP Membership plays a critical role in growing PWN Norway’s impact and enhancing membership experience. This role combines community-building, communications, and administration. The VP Membership Oslo works closely with the rest of the Board to ensure membership remains a valuable and engaging experience for all, also leading a team of volunteer Project Managers.

Time Commitment 15 hrs/month (including meetings)

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for membership in PWN Norway.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and engage members.
  • Manage the member database using our CRM backend system and identify new tools that can improve membership experience.
  • Attend events regularly to welcome members and ensure the Board has a visible and supportive presence.
  • Promote membership through outreach, events, and partnerships.
  • Coordinate with the co-VP Membership in Stavanger to ensure consistency in member communications and processes.
    Collaborate with the VP Tech on digital tools, processes, and membership system improvements.
  • Lead and support a small team of Membership Project Managers.
  • Liaise with PWN Global regarding member accounts and shared initiatives.
    Collaborate with the VP Finance to reconcile member payments and track active membership status.
  • Manage the annual renewal process and follow up with non-renewed members.
  • Identify, develop, and promote new membership benefits (e.g., partner discounts, offers).
  • Peak Period: December to February.
