PWN Norway

VP, Events (Oslo)

Published on September 7, 2026

PWN Norway is recruiting a VP Events to lead our Oslo events program. This is a board position.

The role

You own the annual events calendar for Oslo. That means deciding what we put on and why, designing a program with enough variety in topic and format to give members a reason to show up month after month, and coordinating with other departments so we're not competing with ourselves for the same evening.

Some months that's one event. Sometimes two or three.

Speakers

You find them, approach them, and confirm them. You brief them on the format, the audience, and the timing, handle their logistics, and introduce them warmly on the night. You also maintain our speaker database, so that everything you learn about who's good, who's reliable, and who to call next time stays with PWN Norway rather than leaving when you do.

Your team

You lead the Oslo Project Managers. You assign event ownership, brief them ahead of each event, and step in when something needs solving. Good delegation matters here. This role is unmanageable if you try to do everything yourself.

Budget and board

You prepare and manage the Oslo events budget together with the President and VP Finance. You attend monthly board meetings, report on the program and anything the board needs to know about, and present an annual overview at the AGM.

On the day

You're the face of PWN Norway in the room. You arrive early, check the setup and the equipment, open the evening, and make sure the experience matches what we promised.

What we're looking for

  • Experience leading or coordinating a small team, with clarity and warmth
  • A professional network, or the confidence to build one, since securing speakers is central to the role
  • Creative thinking about how people connect, and interest in formats beyond the standard panel
  • Organized enough to run several events and deadlines at once
  • Comfortable owning a budget and reporting on it to a board
  • Based in Oslo and able to attend events in person
  • Fluent in English, Norwegian is a plus
  • Background in events, human resources, communications, or public relations is an advantage

What you get

A seat on the board of an established organization with real decision-making responsibility, a program that carries your mark on it, and access to PWN's international network of women across more than 30 cities.

The commitment

15 to 20 hours per month including meetings. Two year term. Oslo based, voluntary and unpaid. You report to the President and sit on the PWN Norway board.

To apply
