PWN Paris DEVELOP - Unleash Your Talents and International Hub present "Discover and Make Friends with Your Inner Saboteur” with Lydia Haferburg

For this sixth workshop in our PWN DEVELOP 2019-2020 programme “Unleash Your Talents”, organised in conjunction with the International Hub, we are delighted to welcome Lydia Haferburg, executive coach and mentor, owner of InBalance. 

Lydia is a senior coach, specialized in burn-out prevention and intercultural management. She has been coaching and mentoring corporate and private clients across Europe since more than 10 years. One of her favourite tools in coaching is “The taming of the inner saboteur” helping herself and her clients to move from a posture of victim to an active, self-responsible role.

Description of the event "Discover and Make Friends with your Inner Saboteur" : 

“Inside of me there are two dogs. One of the dogs is mean and evil. The other dog is good. The mean dog fights the good dog all the time. Which dog wins? The one I feed the most.” (George Bernard Shaw)

In this playful and interactive workshop, we will explore the Inner Saboteur, who is lurking in the dark corners of our psyche. We can recognize it as an inner voice telling us how we should be and what we should do. The Saboteur has a mandate to keep us playing small, hidden away from living to our fullest potentials, from being powerful and authentic. 

Together, working in pairs and small groups, you will explore the ways how to tame your Inner Saboteur in a gentle, but sustainable way:

• Simply notice your Saboteur
• Familiarize ourselves with its functioning
• Notice under what circumstances your Saboteur becomes active
• Draw a picture of the Saboteur, give it a name
• Develop compassion with your Saboteur
• Practice
