PWN Amsterdam: AGM

On April 4th we are hosting our Annual General Meeting (AGM). This is an especially important AGM because we will be voting in a new President and Secretary to the Executive Board. We need you to support the candidates of your choice. We also hope to announce our new VP L&D at this event. Our presenter is Shana Laurie, Partner at PWC. Shana is a member of the Global Board of PwC International Limited, overseeing the Firm’s Network Leadership Team and its 250,000 professionals. She also sits on the Board of PWC Europe SE, a firm that oversees the PWC practices in Germany, The Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland and Turkey.

Shana will be sharing the 'Fragility of Choice':  specifically about women staying in the workforce before and after having children, which is such a critical time. I recently heard another female Partner from a 'Big Four' company state that 'we are bleeding out our women before they can reach higher leadership roles'. There is almost a 50-50 balance at entry level, but by the time women reach the age of 30 - 40, when they are most likely to make promotion, they are also needing to make this fragile choice.

Guests are also welcome to this event, though during the meeting, you will have extra networking time. Men are always welcome at our events.

** To our Premium (paid) Members: If you are not able to attend the AGM, we kindly ask you to grant proxy before 4 April 2019 so that someone else who will attend the AGM can vote on your behalf at the AGM. Any of our board members can be selected, or a member. Granting a proxy is easy.
