Arna Smistad will talk about the necessity for a leader to listen to different voices within their organisation to understand the rhythm & dynamics of their team. She will share these insights based on her own experience as a successful career woman.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Arna Smistad is a Norwegian leader specializing in change and performance management, leadership and organizational development.

She was general manager of Måltidets Hus/NCE Culinology- a leading food cluster in Norway and general manager of PAM AS - Dolly Dimple’s headquarters.

She recently took on the role as CEO of Attende, an organization that employs, trains and helps people with challenging life circumstances find jobs.

Earlier in her career, Arna Smistad had different roles in the hospitality and food service industries. In all of her positions, she has been working with people and for people, focusing on developing values and visions that will drive a common goal for her team.

Arna Smistad also has wide- experience as a board member, both in the private sector and non-profit sector, including the Chamber of Commerce and Region Stavanger.

Smistad was a volunteer mentor in Global Future, an initiative by the Chamber of Commerce that helps strengthen diversity in business by helping professional and highly educated employees of non-Norwegian descent secure positions that fit their ambitions and experience level.

Arna studied hotel management at the Norwegian School of Hotel Management, and later received a Bachelor´s in Business Administration and Master´s in Public Relations and Change Management, both from BI Norwegian School of Management.
