As Joanne Ciulla said “Leadership is not a person or a position. It is a complex moral relationship between people, based on trust, obligation, commitment, emotion, and a shared vision of the good”. By understanding values, we gain a better understanding of what excellent leadership is. Every human being is an artist adding a successive brick to humanity. The key is to consciously develop and unleash the potential resting in both the individual and the organization. What ignites the sparkle liberating individual strength and creativity? What unites people to co-create successful organizations? Values are the main part of building self-esteem and inner coherence. If we know our core values and can identify them, we can defend them. Identified values become our best guidance on how to direct our decisions, career, and life itself. When we identify our inner compass, we can create a vision for change.
